How the WECODUR Low Emission Brake is made

With the revolutionary WECODUR© technology, brake discs can be coated in such a way that their service life is increased many times over and material abrasion and thus particulate emissions are reduced by up to 90 percent. Thanks to these properties, an enormous reduction in weight is achieved, which in turn contributes to a reduction in CO2 emissions. For example, 80 g of CO2 emissions per 100 km can be saved in an upper mid-range car.

But WECOUR© is not just a revolutionary process for hard-coating brake discs, rollers, valves and much more. WECODUR© is a series-optimized form of the high-speed laser deposition process and a process combination of coating and matching finishing.
